Our first Symposium will feature the Battle of Perryville with a series of tours led by historians, each focusing on a portion of the Perryville story.

About the event
A series of tours led by historians that will cover aspects of the battle that took place at Perryville on October 8th, 1862. Each tour will be about 2 hours in duration. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water! There is walking and some hilly terrain to tackle. Also there is alittle shade on the battlefield, so sunscreen might be in order.
Friday
5:00 P.M. - Peters Hill led by Darryl Smith. Explore the Peters Hill portion of the Perryville battle. Peters Hill is where the battle will start on the early morning of October 8th. Meet on Merchant's Row a few minutes before 5 so that we can carpool to the tour start!
Saturday
9:00 A.M. - Taylor Bishop - Florida Brigade - Meet on Loomis Heights
11:00 A.M. - Darryl Smith - Lytle's Brigade - Meet on Loomis Heights
2:30 P.M. - Stuart Sanders - Maney's Brigade - Meet at the Visitor's Center
5:30 P.M. - Reception and tour at Bottom House hosted by the fine folks known as the Friends of Perryville Battlefield!
Sunday
10:00 A.M. Derrick Lindow - Adams' Brigade
Noonish - Tour debrief and ideas for next year
